The Corona crisis could be the beginning of a better normality. Corona could make a turning point in history. The global North has benefited from unequal trade relations. Global employment has lost its role as the center of life. We must get out of the old path dependencies. An enormous gain in quality of life for many has occurred.

    According to Dean Baker, the EU has 100 deaths a day while the US has 1000 deaths a day – while the EU has 30 million more people. Only in America are the charts turned upside down to make it seem a booming economy! Bush senior used to turn the charts upside down to make the present rosy and investor-friendly!

    Trump doubled the deficit to a trillion and angrily deplores Obama’s “terrible” economy!
    The country as a whole needs to slow-down. Did you read the CARES act & the HEALS act? In the former, hundreds of McDonald’s owners get millions in COVID relief &McDonald’s rivals are fuming!
