Greater productivity is a chance for reducing working hours for everyone. Reducing working hours is an attractive scenario, an optimistic picture of a possible future of society.

Less than 2% of German workers labor in agriculture, down from 40% in the 19th century. The future of work is person-related work. The state must intervene with subsidies so the service society does not become the domestic service society.
